People like to watch horror films for the same reson that children like to watch, for instance to warn of evil in familiar places. Poeple like the adrenaline rush that happens while watching a horror movie. It is for the same reason people like roller coaster rides Horror films are designed to elicit strong emotional reactions from viewers, including fear and dread. The reason why it is so important to know your target audience is because it will help when deciding what content is to be included. 48% of horror film consumers are aged between 18 - 24. Horror film produces will tend to aim there film at this age range, because of this horror films gerneraly create less revenue and profit then other films.
